SynapQ Refund Policy
This policy explains how cancellation, renewal, and refunds work for paid SynapQ subscriptions.
Summary
- Paid plans are prepaid subscriptions billed at the start of each term.
- You can cancel at any time, and cancellation stops future renewal.
- Once a paid term has started, fees are generally non-refundable unless applicable law requires otherwise.
- We may review refund requests for duplicate charges, billing mistakes, or material access failures caused on our side.
1. Subscription structure
SynapQ paid plans are subscription products billed in advance at the start of the billing period. Paid access may unlock immediately after purchase.
Because of that, the service is treated as a digital software subscription rather than a physical good.
2. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Unless stated otherwise, cancellation preserves access through the end of the current billing period and prevents the next automatic renewal.
Cancellation during an active billing period does not automatically create a prorated refund for the unused portion of that period.
Downgrades or moves to a lower-access plan do not normally create retroactive refunds for the current term and, unless stated otherwise, typically take effect at the next renewal.
3. General refund rule
Unless required by applicable law, subscription fees are generally non-refundable once the paid term has started.
This reflects the nature of the product as a digital service with immediate access and a free tier that lets users evaluate the product before upgrading.
4. Cases we may review for a refund
We may review reasonable refund requests in situations such as:
- A clearly duplicated charge for the same subscription
- A billing mistake or incorrect plan charge
- A material product-side access failure that prevented reasonable use of paid features
- Any case where applicable law requires a refund or withdrawal right
5. Request timing
Please send refund requests within 14 days of the charge date. We may review billing records, account status, and technical logs in order to evaluate the request fairly.
We may request reasonable additional information, transaction references, or verification before deciding a refund request. Where a merchant-of-record processed the payment, the final refund or payment-reversal workflow may also depend on that provider’s processes.
6. App store and platform purchases
If a purchase was made through Apple App Store, Google Play, or another platform, refund and cancellation rules may be governed by that platform’s policies. In those cases, you may need to submit the refund request directly through the platform.
7. Chargebacks and abuse
If we detect abusive chargebacks, fraud, or misuse, we may temporarily suspend access while the billing issue is reviewed and reconcile the issue against provider-side records.
Nothing in this policy is intended to remove chargeback or consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
8. Policy changes
We may update this refund policy from time to time. The current version becomes effective when posted on the site.
